BYLAW 2-8.2 COMMITTEE OPERATIONS

Each committee chair may select such officers, other than the chair and vice-chair, and designate subcommittees from the membership of the committee.  Each committee meets at times and places as designated by the chair or vice-chair.  Committees may adopt internal operating procedures subject to board of governors approval as long as they are not inconsistent with these rules, The Florida Bar Standing Board Policies, or Robert’s Rules of Order.  Each committee must file with the executive director all minutes, annual reports, internal operating procedures, recommendations, and any interim reports as desired requested by the president or board of governors.  No action, report, internal operating procedure, or recommendation of any committee is binding on The Florida Bar unless adopted and approved by the board of governors.

Amended March 2, 1988; July 23, 1992, effective Jan. 1, 1993 (605 So.2d 252); May 29, 2025, effective immediately (SC2025-0157).
